Nami Island (option A)
Nami Island is a half-moon-shaped island located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do. It became highly popular in 2002 after the broadcasting of the famous Korean drama ‘Winter Sonata’, as its most romantic scenes, such as the protagonists’ first kiss, were shot on this particular island. In 2006 and following its skyrocketing popularity among Koreans and foreigners, Nami Island declared its cultural independence, becoming the imaginary Naminara Republic and creating its own flag, currency, stamps, and passport!
During your walk there, you will receive warm greetings from ostriches, squirrels, rabbits, deer, and other animals that live freely in the forest. Beautifully lined with majestic trees, the “Forest of Sweethearts” is a really popular spot as it becomes the subject of splendid photos in every changing season. The island features many facilities such as water sport resorts, camping sites, and a theme park. Nami Island is perfect for families who want to create memorable memories in Korea!

Petite France (option B)
From its outward appearance, Petite France would appear to be a village that belongs on the Mediterranean coast or in a pastoral area of the Piedmont Alps. But it is, in fact, a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside! Petite France serves as both a French cultural village and a youth training facility (Goseong Youth Training Center), and consists of 16 French-style buildings where visitors can lodge and experience French food, clothing, and household culture.
The concept of Petite France encapsulates ‘flowers, stars, and the Little Prince.’ It is also where characters from the popular K-Drama – A Man From The Star- Do Min Jun and Cheon Song Yi kissed. Even the K-drama “Beethoven virus” and the TV show “Running Man” had shootings in this village.

The Garden of Morning Calm (optional tour)
The Garden of Morning Calm is a 30,000㎡ garden. This is open year-round, and the garden was conceptualized by Professor Han Sang-kyung (Gardening Department, Sahmyook University) while he was serving as an exchange professor in America. His vision was to create a garden that would become world-famous and spread the concept of Korean beauty throughout the world. The inspiration for the garden stemmed from a poem written by Sir Tagore, a great Indian poet, who described Korea during the Joseon Dynasty as “The Land of the Morning Calm.”
The lighting festival is only held during winter (the First Friday night in December until late March). Do not miss this beautiful garden when you visit Gapyeong!

We had a 1 day private tour with Jay in December. He picked us from our hotel, drove us to the Elysian ski fields, had a 2 hour ski lesson in the morning which was great as the slopes/ ski lifts weren’t as busy. He then drove us in the afternoon to the ferry terminal so we could travel across to Nami island ( 10 minute ride by ferry) and had an hour to walk around the island and take photos. In the evening Jay took us on a tour of the Garden of Morning calm. In winter the garden becomes amazing display of beautiful coloured lights. He took us to the best spots to take photos and assisted us in taking our family photos. We were then dropped back to our hotel.
Everything was sorted our before we had the tour and paid for so we did not need to worry about any extra charges and transfers.
Thank you Jay for being a careful safe driver. He was polite, well mannered and went out of his way to make sure our ski hire and boots were fitted well and make sure we were well looked after. Would recommend the tour and Jay!

Justin Kim made this day extra special. He was very friendly, polite and helpful. He made sure that we would be able to see the good spots in Nami instead of just hanging around in one area to take lots of pictures. He also took care of ordering and helping us get our food and bev, and the best part of all – he took our pictures using his personal camera. He took really good pictures – clear shots, nice angle with noooo other people in the frame! He also sent the pictures within the same day of our tour. Justin could be a little more careful in driving. I think he drove a little bit fast especially on the curves and turns. Make sure to buckle up!

We booked a ski tour with One day Korea. We just had one day to spare and we wanted to maximize our tour and go to as many places as we could. We went to Nami island, Elysian Ski resort and to the garden of morning calm. What we enjoyed the most was the ski part. We were only two of us and the professional instructor gave us a really friendly lesson. After the lesson we could ski by ourselves for a while. The instructor spoke good English and the one to one lesson was quite helpful to learn skiing. Our driver Jonathan took pictures during the ski session and we really liked the pictures he took. And the night view of the garden of morning calm was really amazing. We highly appreciate the job One day Korea to maximize our tour.

One Day Korea – Day Tours did not disappoint me. Prior to planning of itinerary, Yan Wong has been very spontaneous in his reply and provide advise on the possible plan. Confirmation is followed by email and watsapp. It was easy to keep in touch and provide information on my arrival.
