Overview
When you travel, don’t you ever feel like getting out of the big cities and seeing the other side of a country? If you do, you will love Jeongseon. Jeongseon was one of the most remote regions in South Korea, where coal was mined and the traditional lyric song Arirang originated. This small area enclosed by the natural surroundings of high hills, mountains, and a river will make you feel free. You will have a chance to ride the rail bike or zip line, visit one of the famous attractions, Byeongbangqi Skywalk. Go up to the top of the Byeongbangqi Skywalk, where you can walk on the glass floor over the cliff. The view of the Korean peninsula shaped river from the cliff is an unforgettable experience!
Description
Jeongseon (Jeongseon-gun) is a county located in Gangwon-do, South Korea. It is famous for being the hometown of “Jeongseon Arirang”, a traditional Korean folk song. It is also the hometown of the famous actor Won Bin, where he held his wedding ceremony with actress Lee Na Young.
First, ride on a railbike with your family and friends, where you will be captured by lukewarm sunshine, smooth wind touching your skin, and cool temperature in the tunnel while running through meadows, fields, and crossing crooks. After taking some pictures in front of a great grasshopper and a minnow structure with a prepossessing scenery background, you can climb up the Byeonbangchi Skywalk. On a spot in the sky with backup mountains, you can observe a territory shaped like the Korean Peninsula enclosed by a river, the Dong-gang. From here, you can also glide down on a zip line directly to earth from the sky.
After a good walk, we will go to the Arirang Traditional Market to grab something to eat. We will have local food made. You will also be able to purchase rare organic herbs and various sorts of products that are grown by the locals. Don’t forget to visit Arari Chon (Traditional House Village / Folk Village). Finally, stop by the Pavilion to take a break and enjoy the widespread grass field and a stream.

This is my second time to join a tour with the same tour guide Jay. Me and my friend enjoyed this Jeongseon tour a lot with Jay. Jay is a patient, helpful and caring person, it was like hanging out with a friend throughout the trip and his English is really good. During the long journey, he drove the car carefully. He brought us to have the rail bike experience, the scenery there was really spectacular. After that, we went to a famous restaurant in the traditional market and enjoyed a delicious lunch together. Then he brought us to the sky walk to watch the famous river in Jeongseon. Jay helped us to take many photos and email to us just after the tour.He really prepared a lot for the tour and explained to us in detail whether we have any questions during the trip. Although it was rainy on that day, he arranged the tour well. It was an unforgettable experience for us.
I highly recommend this tour and Jay for tourists who want to have an amazing time and visit countryside away from Seoul. He will bring you an unforgettable day in Korea.

Our tour guide Justin was very friendly. The scenery around Jeongseon was beautiful. For the sport option we chose to zip line and that was a lot of fun. Justin took some great photos of us on the tour. Would definitely recommend and do another tour with One Day Korea!
