Overview
Gangwon province is surrounded by pure nature and bordered on the west by the Gyeonggi-do province. To the north lies the North Korean counterpart, the Kangwŏn province. The province’s landscape is dominated by the Taebaek Mountains which run along the eastern edge of the Korean Peninsula and, as a result, the coast is very steep. Do you want to see the indigo-colored sea and the endless horizontal line of the Pacific Ocean? This tour will take 2 hours and 30 minutes away from Seoul to get to the coast. Feel the fresh breeze of the sea and come back to Seoul relaxed and revitalized. Our Korea East Coast Tour offers the unique opportunity to enjoy the blue ocean of the East Coast and its colorful sights changing every season. Each stopping station is also unique in its own way, adding to the pleasure and singularity of this tour.
Description
Once arrived, we will get on the Sea train starting from Jeongdong-jin Station (the departure station can be changed). In this station, you can also visit the Sandglass Park and Time Museum or just watch the poem monuments and sculptures surrounded by the beautiful shorelines.
The East Coast Train will bring us from Jeongdongjin Station to Chu-am Station. At Chu-am Station, a filming spot of well-known K-drama Winter Sonata, singular rocks like Chot-dae Bawi (candlestick rock) are displayed on the beach. Along the East Beach, we will stop by a lighthouse site, which was a shooting spot of the famous drama Goblin. Indeed, it is where Goblin was summoned by his bride in her crisis expecting her wishes to come true.
For a traveler looking for nature and its beauty, we will to one last place on the way back to Seoul. Daegwallyeong Sheep Ranch covers 200,000 m2 of green field seated at 900-meter altitude. Walking up and down the green hill, you can enjoy the sight of sheep lazily eating grass. Full of peace, you will feel harmonized with nature, especially surrounded by the ambient, scarlet light at sunset.

Our guide, Mr. Justin Kim picked up us from Ansan Handaep station at 07:00 AM. He was a nice, well-mannered, and a very helpful man.
Then we visited Ski Jump Stand for Pyeongchang Winter Olympic, Anmok Beach, and Olympic Park in Gangneung. After that, we rode on East Sea Train to Jeongdongjin. Also visited Simgok Port.
The tour was excellent and the guide was perfect; truly we had a nice time with him.

My father and I visited Korea for two weeks in late-November 2017. Seoul was our home base, but we wanted to get out of the city a bit as well–One Day Korea tours were the solution! We took the Seoul: Old and New tour (plus N-Tower), the East Coast Tour, and the Seorak Mountain tour (plus Naksan Temple). All three tours were outstanding! Our guides spoke English very well and were punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and went well above and beyond the call of duty to help my dad and I enjoy our trip.

My friend and I had a great time in Korea, and while we stayed in Seoul, the most memorable part of our vacation were the day trips with One Day Korea. There were two things we really wanted to see and that was to go to Seoraksan Mountain and check out the East Coast of Korea, so we were so excited to find that One Day Korea had those two tours. The booking process was really easy. We booked online Monday, and by Wednesday, we completed our first tour. I was surprised at how fast they responded. The customer service was excellent. We enjoyed every minute of the tours, both done with our friendly and knowledgeable guide Jonathan. Jonathan gave us so much insight into Korea, and whatever questions we had, he was able to fill us in on the sights we saw. Thank you One Day Korea and Jonathan for giving us two great days we will never forget!

I took this tour with a few friends and it was great. The places we visited were all worth seeing. Benny, our driver/tour guide was very patient and accommodating. He took us to a fish market where we bought crabs and took them to a restaurant where they steamed them for us. We had a delicious lunch. I recommend this tour if you want to enjoy the East Coast without worrying about driving.
